Quick Update

Thursday, I had to work. What started as an ambitious "training dream" was reduced to a 5.3 mile run. I probably could have gone another 3 miles, but Andrea had been asking me to yes - color her hair. So between diaper duty, some FMLA paper work required for work, sleep, and hair coloring, the most I could get done was the 5.3 miles before work.
Thursday ended up being a very challenging flying day. We ended up spending an unscheduled night in Atlanta, and after a brief 5-6 hours of sleep it was back to the airport Friday morning. After flying back to Houston Friday, there was more paperwork required to document Thursday's nightmares, and by the time I arrived home, it was hard not to just want to sit on the couch with the family. As we sat there and I watched the time click away I had thoughts of "squeezing" something in. Then Andrea brought out Cheese and Wine. No training today!
Our first little date night since the baby. He was kind enough to sleep while we endulged.
So here we are Saturday morning. The plan is a 1-hour swim (or slightly more) a 3 hour run and maybe a 1 hour spin (optional). I formulated the plan while vaccuming and anticipating the weekend visit of my in-laws. Tomorrow will be a big ride day in Conroe.

I also got word last night my grandmother fell and fractured her hip. She is doing well, and we are praying for her speedy recovery. We love you, Nana!
