Still no baby.
Dad and I started working on a temporary A/C solution. It involved splicing wires, disabling heating elements, and preventing any high voltage from further damaging the A/C control board. If your wondering what I just said, you can imagine how grateful I am to have a dad who is here, and capable of conquering any technical challenge.
Before we got started with the A/C surgery, we decided we needed a few electrical supplies. On our way out to the car, I ran into my neighbor Jim, and his wife Elizabeth. After courtesies and introductions were exchanged, Jim asked "Did you see your car?"
To which I replied, "Nope, did it get broken into?"
"Yah, passenger side window" he responded.
"O.K., Thanks." I said.
Sure enough, my passenger side window had been smashed into a gazillion pieces, center console ransacked, and glove compartment violated.
I wasn't too surprised, or even that angry. There have been numerous break-ins in our area, and Andrea and I have been excluded in every case up until today. I didn't have anything of value in the car; if the burglars are reading my blog, here is my message: Please don't risk cutting yourself on my car window, I never leave anything valuable in the car!
Whoever it was, they are obviously worse off than we are, so besides the hassle and EXPENSE of getting it fixed, its certainly not insurmountable.
After all the necesary police reports were filed, dad and I were able to get the supplies we needed, and within 45 minutes, dad had the A/C unit blowing cold air. I wonder what else Murphy is going to throw at us today?
I am feeling better physically, but will definitely allow a couple more days to finish the antibiotics and let my cough subside before I start training again.
Thanks for Reading. This is truly a wild ride.
