Today was short and sweet. Only about 1:20 with the tour. I still hadn't replaced my heart rate monitor battery, but pretty much took it easy.
Today, I had an FAA examiner observe me acting as a check airman. Its a new position at work, and I am very excited about taking on the challenge. The pilot flying was exceptional, and made my "checking" check-out as comfortable as something like that can be. Good Job to Captain Eric!
Andrea and I are still wrestling to get her "new" car back on the road - yes I am talking about the one we bought three weeks ago. Somehow, "next day mail" means 10 business days . . . . so we have been waiting for the parts to repair the car since then. Always something.
Sometimes I run to train, sometimes I run for my mental heath. Today, was 8.3 miles in 68 minutes - definitely a mental health run. Nothing stellar - actually a little disappointing, but it cleared my head. It was hot, but the sun was below the horizon, so the warm temperature doesn't count!
That's it for tonight. I did manage to get a new battery for my Heart Rate monitor, so I will be back on the tour tomorrow. I do need to swim too, I am a little behind this week.
